Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using maineseniorcaredirectory.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to all visitors, families, care providers, and organizations accessing the Registry.

Purpose and scope

The Maine Senior Care & End-of-Life Registry is an independent public reference resource. It provides organized listings of care providers across Maine for informational purposes only. It is not a care coordination service, referral agency, clinical advisory, or crisis response service. For medical emergencies, call 911.

No medical, legal, or financial advice

Nothing on this site constitutes medical, legal, financial, or clinical advice. Information is provided for general orientation only. Families should consult qualified professionals before making care decisions. The Registry does not evaluate care quality, staffing levels, licensing compliance, or provider outcomes.

Provider listings

Provider listings are compiled from public records, official provider websites, and direct provider submissions. Inclusion does not constitute endorsement, recommendation, certification, or verification of care quality. Paid participation levels may affect disclosed listing format and placement, but payment is not a care-quality ranking. Provider information may change — contact providers directly to confirm current services, availability, licensing, and insurance acceptance. The Registry makes no warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of listing information.

Provider participation

Care providers who submit inquiry forms or purchase participation are subject to the following: Payment does not guarantee inclusion. If the Registry declines a new paid listing before publication, the payment will be refunded. After a listing is approved and published, annual participation fees are non-refundable except where required by law. The Registry may remove or modify listings if a provider ceases operations, loses applicable licensure, provides materially inaccurate information, or no longer meets the published inclusion criteria. Submission of an inquiry form does not guarantee inclusion. Participation renews annually and does not auto-renew without explicit confirmation.

Limitation of liability

The Maine Senior Care & End-of-Life Registry and its operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of this site or reliance on its contents, including but not limited to decisions made based on provider listing information. The Registry is not liable for the acts, omissions, or conduct of any listed provider. Use of this site does not create any professional, fiduciary, or advisory relationship between the user and the Registry or its operator.

Intellectual property

The content, design, and organization of this site are the property of the Registry operator. Provider names, contact information, and descriptions compiled from public sources remain the property of their respective organizations. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit site content without written permission.

Third-party links

This site may link to external provider websites. The Registry does not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content of external sites. Links are provided for convenience only.

Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Any disputes arising from use of this site shall be resolved in the courts of Cumberland County, Maine.

Changes to these terms

The Registry may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
