What this Registry is for

The Maine Senior Care & End-of-Life Registry was built to fill a gap that families navigating care decisions in Maine encounter regularly: the absence of a calm, organized, pressure-free reference resource focused specifically on Maine's geography and care providers.

National directories treat Maine as an afterthought. Lead-generation platforms profit from family urgency. This Registry operates differently — it exists simply to provide clear, organized information, organized by situation and region, without sales pressure, advertising, or referral fees.

The Registry is operated from Naples, Maine, and is built around Maine's five regions, its rural geography, and the real providers operating here.

Registry scope and limitations

The Registry provides structured public reference only. It does not:

Provider entries are compiled from publicly available licensure records, official provider websites, and direct provider submissions. Families are responsible for contacting providers directly to confirm services, current availability, geographic coverage, and financial requirements.

The Registry is not affiliated with any hospital, government agency, or healthcare system. Inclusion does not imply endorsement or recommendation.

Contact & administration

Registry Administration

William McCarver, Registry Director
P.O. Box 396 · Naples, Maine 04055

Registry administration is handled by email to support documentation and consistent handling of all requests. The Registry does not provide real-time referral coordination, care placement, or case management services.

How providers are listed

The Registry lists licensed, credentialed, or established care providers serving older adults in Maine. Provider listings follow a consistent neutral format — no stars, no rankings, no advertising. All listings within the same participation level receive equal visual treatment.

Annual participation supports verification, listing maintenance, and ongoing public inclusion. Three participation levels are available. See the For Providers page for details.
